NIH director testifies before the Senate on the importance of research funding

On Oct. 7, 2015, National Institutes of Health Director Francis S. Collins, MD, PhD, testified before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, HHS, Education, and Related Agencies about how NIH is investing in a healthier future for all Americans. Collins discussed recent breakthroughs and current initiatives, including the Brain Research through Advancing Innovative Neurotechnologies (BRAIN) Initiative and the Precision Medicine Initiative (PMI).
