Topic: Hypoventilation Syndromes: A Primer for the Non-Pulmonary Sleep Provider
Speaker: Babak Mokhlesi, MD, MSc
Build a practical approach to recognizing and managing hypoventilation syndromes in sleep medicine practice. Designed for sleep medicine physicians and fellows without pulmonary training, this webinar will define hypoventilation and sleep-related hypoventilation, review recent literature on obesity hypoventilation syndrome, and explore less common causes, including neuromuscular and central nervous system disorders. Learners will strengthen their understanding of underlying pathophysiology and gain a framework for identifying, evaluating, treating, and following patients with these complex conditions to support better patient outcomes.
