President’s Report
Jennifer L. Martin, PhD, is the 2022 — 2023 president of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Her term as AASM president began June 6, 2022. A member of the AASM since 2003, Dr. Martin is a professor of medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. She is also associate director for clinical and health services research in the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System’s Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center. Dr. Martin received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of California, San Diego. She completed her clinical internship at Brown University and her post-doctoral fellowship in geriatrics at UCLA. She is board-certified in behavioral sleep medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM).
