The U.S. Preventive Services Task Force is requesting public comments on its draft recommendation statement for Obstructive Sleep Apnea in Adults: Screening, which “concludes that the current evidence is insufficient to assess the balance of benefits and harms of screening for OSA in asymptomatic adults.” The statement also declares that, “Evidence on screening tools to accurately detect persons who should receive further testing and treatment of subsequently diagnosed OSA to improve health outcomes in asymptomatic populations is lacking, and the balance of benefits and harms cannot be determined.”
This opportunity for public comment expires on July 11, 2016, at 8 p.m. EDT.
