Workers with obstructive sleep apnea have a nearly doubled risk of having an accident at work, according to the first systematic review and meta-analysis of studies about the relationship between OSA and work accidents. The review, which is published in the June issue of the journal SLEEP, suggests that screening for OSA in the workplace may help to improve workplace safety.
