The results of a new study in the August issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine show that pain intensity was the only determinant of CPAP adherence among veterans with obstructive sleep apnea who were taking opioids for non-malignant pain. According to the authors, the results underscore pain management as a part of the multidisciplinary approach to improve CPAP adherence.
