The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently updated the Quality Payment Program website to include several new features.

Quality Payment Program Look-Up Tool

The Quality Payment Program Look-Up Tool, previously known as the Quality Payment Program Participation Status Tool, now includes both 2018 Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) eligibility and Alternative Payment Model (APM) Qualifying APM Participant (QP) data. Predictive QP statuses are based on calculations from claims with dates of service between 1/1/17 and 8/31/17. For more information on how these values are determined, see the Predictive QP Methodology Fact Sheet.

Enter your National Provider Identifier (NPI) to find out whether you need to participate in MIPS in 2018 and to see your Predictive QP status. To check eligibility at the group level, sign into the QPP website with your Enterprise Identity Data Management (EIDM) credentials and locate the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) affiliated with your group. You can also see the eligibility status of each individual clinician based on NPI. You can also now download the list of all NPIs associated with your group’s TIN.

2018 MIPS Measures and Activities

The QPP website also now includes 2018 MIPS measures and activities for all four performance categories, available in the “Explore Measures” section. As a reminder, the four performance categories are Quality, Cost, Improvement Activities, and Promoting Interoperability. The Explore Measures tool is informational and provide estimations, but it cannot be used for attestation or submission of measures and activities.

The 2018 MIPS measures and activities also have been added to the QPP Measures Data Repository. The 2018 folder includes 2018 quality measures, improvement activities, and promoting interoperability measures.
