AASM President Dr. Kannan Ramar hosted a Presidential Town Hall Forum: COVID-19 and Sleep Medicine, on Thursday, Sept. 10. During this live webinar, Dr. Ramar presented the results of the recent COVID-19 pulse survey, which the AASM distributed to members in late July and early August to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting sleep medicine professionals.
Dr. Ramar discussed the survey results with two panelists: Dr. Indira Gurubhagavatula, chair of the AASM COVID-19 Task Force, and Dr. Thomas Speer, chair of the AASM Advocacy Committee. Topics of discussion included advocacy priorities and recent updates to the AASM’s COVID-19 resources. The webinar concluded with a moderated Q&A session to respond to questions submitted by attendees.
