On June 18 the World Health Organization (WHO) released the 11th edition of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11), which is completely electronic for the first time and now can be well integrated with electronic health applications and information systems.
It will be presented for adoption by countries at the World Health Assembly in May 2019 and will go into effect Jan. 1, 2022.
The AASM will be providing additional information to members about changes in ICD-11 that are relevant to the practice of sleep medicine.
