The American Medical Association (AMA) has released a stakeholder survey that is open to both current AMA members and non-members, including practicing and retired physicians, students and residents, health care executives, and non-physician providers.

The survey, which takes approximately five minutes to complete, largely focuses on the future of health care access and delivery, as well as provider attitudes toward the use of emerging technologies in the practice of medicine.

The AASM encourages members to complete the AMA survey before it closes Aug. 31.

In the May issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine, a letter to the editor by AASM Past Presidents Dr. Alejandro Chediak and Dr. Patrick Strollo expresses the importance of becoming an AMA member so that the AASM can represent the sleep field within the AMA’s policy-making bodies, which include the House of Delegates, Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC), and the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT®) Advisory Committee.

Learn more about AMA membership benefits, including full-access to the JAMA Network of journals, or join or renew online.
