AASM Text Message Terms of Service

Program name. AASM Text Messages. 

Program description. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) offers an optional text message program for members who wish to receive membership reminders and AASM updates by SMS. 

Message types. Participants may receive membership renewal reminders, which may include a link to renew or pay, and information about AASM events, education, programs, products, and advocacy. 

Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. AASM does not charge for participation. If you have questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider. 

How to opt in. Participation is voluntary and requires affirmative consent. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of AASM membership. 

How to opt out. You can cancel the SMS service at any time by texting STOP. After you send STOP to us, we will send one message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, after which you will receive no further messages. If you want to join again, sign up as you did the first time and we will resume sending messages. 

Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact AASM at inquiries@aasm.org or 630-737-9700. 

Carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to carrier availability. 

Eligibility. The program is available to U.S. mobile numbers only.

Changes. AASM may modify or discontinue this program at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
