Study shows that diagnostic delay is common for people who have narcolepsy

Most people with narcolepsy report receiving a diagnosis more than 1 year after symptom onset, according to a study in the March issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. Results show that the strongest predictor of this delayed diagnosis was pediatric onset of symptoms.
