Research funded by NHLBI may help develop a blood test for sleep apnea

The development of a convenient blood test for obstructive sleep apnea is being explored by researchers funded by the National, Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), according to the NHLBI.

Its Trans-Omics for Precision Medicine (TOPMed) initiative has led to the analysis of blood samples from thousands of study volunteers participating in medical research.
