On March 17–20, 2011, the AASM hosted a Board Review for the Sleep Specialist course and Intensive Scoring Review course in conjunction with the Sleep Research Society Basic Science of Sleep for the Sleep Specialist course in Los Angeles, Calif. The three courses included approximately 28 hours of material ideal for physicians planning to take the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) sleep medicine certification exam this November.

Now available from the AASM and SRS is a CD-ROM archive of the full course content, which includes MP3 files of all speaker audio as well as PDFs of the speaker PowerPoint presentations. The MP3 audio files provide users with the ability to download presentations to an MP3 player or burn files to an audio CD. Orders for the course archive may be ordered through the IntelliQuest Media website.

Still interested in attending a live course? The AASM will repeat the Board Review for the Sleep Specialist and companion courses in two additional locations prior to the November exam: Aug. 11–14 in Denver, Colo., and Sept. 8–11 in Reston, Va. (a suburb of Washington, D.C.). For more information about these courses, or to register, visit the Sleep Education Series portion of the AASM website. Questions about the live courses may be directed to the AASM National Office by sending an e-mail to education@aasm.org or calling 630-737-9700; questions about the CD-ROM archive should be directed to IntelliQuest Media.
