Ensure that new sleep technicians at your facility receive the education that they need to quickly and successfully begin a career in the profession of sleep technology by registering them for the AASM’s Accredited Sleep Technologist Education Program (A-STEP) Introductory Course. The 80-hour comprehensive program will be held Oct. 3–14, 2011, at the AASM national office in Darien, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago). During the two-week program, participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sleep technology through a mixture of didactic lectures, online learning, practical exercises and observation at a sleep center.
This course will be limited to 20 participants in order to ensure that each individual receives personalized training and hands-on experience during exercises and sleep center observation. Individuals interested in participating in this program are encouraged to register early to reserve your space. For more information about this program, including a full daily schedule, course requirements, fees and to register, visit the Sleep Education Series portion of the AASM website.
