AASM Call for Accreditation Site Visitors

The AASM is now accepting applications for AASM Accreditation Site Visitors. Accreditation Site Visitors are independent contractors of the AASM that have established duties and responsibilities such as reviewing applications prior to site visits, performing site visits (in-person and/or virtually) to determine compliance to the Standards for Accreditation and submitting reports post site visit.

AASM Site Visitors are expected to travel and conduct a minimum of 12 site visits per year, although 20-25 site visits per year is preferred. Accreditation Site Visitors are paid a set fee plus expenses for each site visit conducted. Applicants must be board-certified in sleep medicine and must currently be serving, or have previously served, as the Facility Director/Medical Director/Director of an AASM-accredited sleep center.

The AASM is currently looking for site visitors in the Midwest region (Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska), Northeast region (Maine, Pennsylvania, New York, Rhode Island, Massachusetts), South East region (North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia) and West region (Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washinton and Wyoming).

Interested in Becoming an Accreditation Site Visitor?

Individuals, who are board-certified in sleep medicine and interested in becoming an Accreditation Site Visitor, must complete and submit an application, a curriculum vitae (CV), a letter of interest and conflict of interest (COI) form to the AASM online.
