On Feb. 18–19, 2011, the AASM will host the Current Topics in Sleep Medicine course at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif. This course is intended for experienced sleep medicine specialists who wish to review the state of the art of the field. Led by course chair Richard Simon, MD, and course vice-chair Kannan Ramar, MD, Current Topics in Sleep Medicine will explore recent diagnostic, therapeutic and technologic issues including:

  • Sleep: Basic Science to Clinical Medicine
  • Circadian Considerations
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Hypersomnia/Fatigue
  • Parasomnias

The course will offer participants the opportunity to earn up to 16.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits over two days and will be held in conjunction with the AASM’s The Business of Sleep Medicine course Feb. 20–21, 2011; individuals who wish to attend this course as well can save more than 10% off of registration fees by registering for both courses.
