APSS Program Committee Requesting Session Proposals on Select Topics

SLEEP 2011, to be held June 11-15, 2011, in Minneapolis, Minn., is the 25th Anniversary Meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies LLC (APSS). Become an integral part of this historic meeting by preparing a session proposal for review by the APSS Program Committee, which welcomes the submission of all proposals, particularly on the following topics:

  • Sleep Apnea/Other Forms of Sleep Disordered Breathing
  • Basic Sleep Science
  • Neurology
  • Neurological
  • Positive Airway Pressure
Symposia
  • Sleep Deprivation
  • Sleep Operational Environment
  • Sleep In Neuroplasticity
  • Early Sleep
  • Cognition
Clinical Workshop/Discussion Group
  • Neurophysiology of Sleep and Depression
  • Pharmacologic and Non-Pharmacologic Interventions for Sleep Disturbances with PTSD
  • Adverse Systemic Effects of Periodic Limb Movements During Sleep
  • Therapeutic Interventions for Sleep Disturbances Related to Shift Work
  • Current State of Upper Airway Surgery for Obstructive Sleep Apnea
  • Routine Preoperative Assessment for Sleep Disordered Breathing

Beginning Oct. 29, 2010, individuals may begin submitting session proposals online. Full guidelines for submission can be found in the SLEEP 2011 Call for Abstracts and Session Proposals or at www.sleepmeeting.org. Additionally, until Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, you may submit your session proposal for a complimentary review by the Membership Sections Steering Committees. The Steering Committees will select the top proposals and endorse them to the APSS Program Committee for possible inclusion at SLEEP 2011. This is an excellent way to get feedback and possibly receive endorsement for your proposal.
