Are you looking to expand your professional knowledge, network with colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the sleep medicine field? Consider serving on a standing committee or a task force. Volunteers provide an invaluable service to the AASM and its membership by contributing to initiatives and projects that are critical to the continued development of the field and also gain professional enrichment through the diverse activities of a committee or task force.
Committees, Councils and Task Forces:
The AASM has several standing committees and task forces that engage in diverse activities such as developing reference guides and education materials and responding to issues related to reimbursement and coding.
Service as a committee or task force member is a one-year appointment with a maximum of a three-year consecutive term and requires participation in monthly conference calls and projects that meet the mandate of the committee or task force. Reports are sent to the board of directors on a quarterly basis.
Application Process
Members interested in volunteering should complete the following forms and submit the forms to jmoney@aasm.org or fax to (630) 737-9790. All completed materials are due by February 25.
