The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Center for Scientific Review (CSR) will host a meeting on Friday, November 9, 2007, to solicit feedback on the organizing principles and operating procedures for study sections, the evolution of topics and scope of research to be peer reviewed, and how well newly emerging research areas can be served by peer review.
Steven Shea, PhD, will represent the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) at the meeting.
AASM members with opinions on how the CSR can build a peer review process that will identify the best science for the NIH to consider funding are encouraged to forward comments by Monday, November 5, 2007, to Dr. Shea at sshea@hms.harvard.edu.
