A study in the August issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine suggests that the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) may be a good screening tool for insomnia in a college population. According to the authors, however, the PSQI is not a substitute for sleep disorder diagnoses established through a clinical interview performed by an experienced sleep clinician.
