The National Institutes of Health recently announced the selection of two new institute leadership appointments: Joshua A. Gordon, MD, PhD, has been named the director of the National Institute of Mental Health, replacing NIMH Acting Director Bruce Cuthbert, PhD; and Diana W. Bianchi, MD, has been named the director of the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, replacing NICHD Acting Director Catherine Y. Spong, MD.
