The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases has issued a funding opportunity announcement to support research for Improving Diabetes Management in Young Children with Type 1 Diabetes (RFA-DK-14-022). The announcement noted that the unique challenges of managing type 1 diabetes in young children include variable sleep patterns as well as disrupted sleep schedules due to nocturnal blood glucose testing.
