New findings from the Hispanic Community Health Study/Study of Latinos (HCHS/SOL) have been compiled and published as the Hispanic Community Health Study Data Book: A Report to the Communities. The health data include findings related to sleep problems such as sleep apnea, sleepiness and snoring. For example, the highest percentage of participants reporting sleep apnea was among those of Cuban background (12.6 percent) and the lowest was among those of South American background (8.1 percent). The project was led by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
