Understanding means you know, perceive, and comprehend. When it comes to the field of sleep medicine, understanding gives you the ability to advance your career and improve the lives of your patients. AASM members across the world work to share their experiences to help both colleagues and the public understand the power and impact of the field.

In this issue, AASM members help us understand how to make an award-winning difference, how to overcome resistance to PAP therapy, the roles and work of your fellow colleagues, and ways to spread your knowledge to the public and beyond.

New Facility Resources

SIMPLIFYING REACCREDITATION

Facility members can now work within their next reaccreditation application prior to their eligibility for submission. It will save time by maintaining a current application (policies, procedures, etc.) on a regular basis and to efficiently submit an accurate reaccreditation application.

Find it under “My Organizations,” available on your dashboard.

ACCREDITATION DIRECTORY

AASM members can search the online Accreditation Directory for a listing of accredited programs (Facility, Independent Sleep Practice, DME) by name, postal code, state and accreditation type. Each entry confirms the current term start date and end date. You’ll find the directory listed in your “My Account” menu on the AASM website.
