As you know, the 2012 election is eight weeks away. The stakes are high as the presidency, 33 Senate seats and every Congressional seat is under challenge. Republicans are looking to maintain their majority in the House of Representatives while also trying to take control of the Senate. Democrats, on the other hand, are looking to take back the House and increase their majority in the Senate.
The outcome of this important election may significantly affect the health care profession in general and specifically to sleep medicine practitioners. The fate of many essential health policy issues, including the Affordable Care Act and the Sustainable Growth Rate, could be determined by the outcome of this election.
