The AASM recently released a new educational resource available on the AASM Online Learning Center. Online learning modules provide sleep professionals with the opportunity to view a multimedia presentation online and earn CME credit in an on-demand format. Topics are presented by leaders in the field and have been developed specifically for online viewing as well as captured at previous live AASM Sleep Education Series courses. Over 20 online learning modules are currently available on a variety of topics including the basics of sleep medicine, business, current topics, scoring, interpreting sleep studies, and portable monitoring.
During the month of April 2011, the AASM has posted a new presentation each week to give members the opportunity to experience this new educational format. The final online learning module during this offer will be posted Monday, April 25. Following the free preview, members can purchase modules for 3-day, 30-day, or 1-year access and to earn CME credit (free preview will not include CME credit).
