Is your office preparing for a smooth transition to ICD-10 on Oct. 1, 2013? To assist you in your preparation, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is going to host a national provider call on “ICD-10 Implementation Strategies for Physicians” on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. EDT.  CMS subject matter experts will discuss ways that physician offices can prepare for the change to ICD-10 for medical diagnosis and inpatient procedure coding. A question and answer session will follow the presentations.

In order to receive the call-in information, you must register for the call. It is important to note that if you are planning to sit in with a group, only one person needs to register to receive the call-in data.  This registration is solely to reserve a phone line, NOT to allow participation. Registration will close at 1 p.m. EDT on Aug. 2, 2011, or when available space has been filled.  No exceptions will be made, so please be sure to register prior to this time.

Presentation materials for the Aug. 3 call will be available on the CMS website in the “Downloads” section no later than 24 hours before the conference call. Remember to download the presentation materials from the site prior to the teleconference.
