Are you looking to expand your professional knowledge, network with colleagues and contribute to the continued growth of the sleep medicine field? Consider participating on a standing committee of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Volunteer committee members provide an invaluable service to the organization and membership by contributing to initiatives and projects that are critical to the continued development of the field and also gain professional enrichment through the diverse activities of a committee.
The AASM’s nine standing committees, one council and one task force engage in diverse activities such as developing education materials, identifying research needs for the sleep medicine field, and responding to issues related to reimbursement and coding.
Appointments will be made by the Committee on Committees in March, and terms will commence in June at the SLEEP meeting.
It is requested that members interested in serving on one of the AASM’s committees complete the Committee Volunteer Interest Form, the Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form and the Copyright Assignment Form with a two-page CV summary. All completed materials are due by Friday, March 8, 2013.
