The AASM invites qualified members to nominate themselves to be considered for a position that will be opening in 2025 on the AASM Leadership Development Committee.
There will be one opening for a three-year term as an at-large member of the Leadership Development Committee, which is responsible for evaluating applications and setting the leadership election slate for the Board of Directors. The final election slate will be submitted to the membership for election. The term of service for the new appointee to the Leadership Committee will commence in June at SLEEP 2025.
Qualifications
Standard qualifications for service in this role include:
- A member in good standing
- An AASM member in good standing for five (5) consecutive years and/or have served on an AASM committee or task force at some time during the past five years
- Meet AASM’s conflict of interest standards
Nomination Process
Members interested in nominating themselves for the Leadership Development Committee are required to review the AASM Conflict of Interest Policy before completing the Board of Directors and Leadership Development Committee application.
Applications and required documentation must be submitted by December 9, 2024 for consideration.
Please note that Leadership Development Committee members are ineligible to nominate themselves for the AASM Board of Directors while serving their 3-year term on the committee.
