As part of a recent campaign to promote increased education about sleep to children of all ages, the AASM has published two new children’s bedtime stories that will not only delight children with tales of the sleeping habits of animals from around the world, but will also teach them about the importance of a good night’s sleep. I See the Animals Sleeping: A Bedtime Story and The Animals Sleep: A Bedtime Book of Biomes both utilize colorful illustrations and rhythmic text to entertain children as they prepare for bed. Additional resources in each book include a Note to Parents that will help to educate adults about the importance of sleep for their children.

The bedtime stories are now available through the AASM Online Store as well as on Amazon.com. Members are encouraged to purchase these books for their pediatric patients, family and friends as part of the AASM’s campaign to promote sleep education. For questions about these new books, please contact the AASM by sending an e-mail to orders@aasm.org or by calling 630-737-9700.
