A study in the July issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine suggests that there is a significant burden of unrecognized obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) in obese hospitalized patients. Results also show that a clinical pathway evaluation may be a simple, cost-effective tool for detecting OSA in hospitalized patients.
