The AASM call for volunteers is now open for the 2020 – 2021 program year, and I invite you to volunteer today to serve on an AASM committee. We need your skills and expertise!
AASM committees offer you an opportunity to contribute to important projects and initiatives impacting the sleep field. Volunteering to serve on a committee also can be a rewarding experience. You will collaborate with colleagues from across the country, learning from one another as you work together to achieve common goals.
The AASM has a diverse selection of committees for you to consider, with topics ranging from accreditation and education to coding and payer policies. Complete instructions and information, including committee mandates, are available in the online call for committee volunteers.
Service as a committee member is a one-year appointment beginning in June. Volunteering requires participation on monthly conference calls and collaborative involvement on projects that meet the committee mandate. To be considered for a committee appointment, please submit your application by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 1.
I also encourage you to review and update your AASM member profile, which includes important demographic questions. This data will give the AASM a better understanding of our membership, helping us to build a strong community devoted to advancing sleep care and enhancing sleep health to improve lives.
Become more involved by volunteering today!
Sincerely,
Kelly A. Carden, MD, MBA
