Eligible clinicians and groups can now submit Quality Payment Program (QPP) data, including data for the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS), to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) for performance year 2019. All program participants will be able to submit data until March 31, 2020 at 8 p.m. EDT. AASM members are encouraged to submit data through the AASM MIPSwizard, which allows for data submission for the QPP quality, promoting interoperability, and improvement activities categories. Please note that the MIPS data submission deadline when submitting through the AASM MIPSwizard is March 6, 2020, to allow for data validation. AASM also recommends that members review the MIPS 2020 Eligibility and Participation Quick Start Guide in preparation for participation in the 2020 performance year.
