Subjective, long-term outcomes of adenoidectomy are comparable to those of adenotonsillectomy in non-obese children under 7 years of age with moderate obstructive sleep apnea and small tonsils, according to a study in the September issue of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine. The authors suggest that adenoidectomy alone is a reasonable treatment option in some children with OSA.
