On August 14, 2025, Nox Medical announced the U.S. launch of the Nox SAS solution, an advanced EEG technology that enables polysomnography (PSG) testing in any setting.
About Nox SAS
Nox SAS, short for self-applied somnography, is a simplified EEG montage developed for self-application in both in-lab and home PSG testing. Designed for use with the Nox A1 PSG recorder, it offers an alternative approach to full PSG sleep studies.
The system records EEG, EOG, EMG, and ECG signals with a high level of agreement to conventional PSG studies. By using forehead-based EEG and EMG electrodes, Nox SAS reduces the need for scalp EEG or chin EMG placement, simplifying setup and improving patient comfort.
When paired with the latest Nox A1 recorder, the solution works in tandem with calibrated RIP belts to deliver “Nox Flow,” a true respiratory flow signal that enhances diagnostic accuracy. Wireless connectivity further supports ease of use.
Nox SAS is designed for patient-applied setup, allowing patients to perform high-quality PSG studies at home.
