The National Guideline Clearinghouse (NGC) recently released an assessment of the AASM Clinical Practice Guideline for the Diagnostic Testing for Adult OSA. The assessment is based on the National Academy of Medicine’s (formerly the Institute of Medicine) Clinical Practice Guidelines We Can Trust, providing a clear indication of the extent to which clinical practice guidelines adhere to these internationally-recognized standards for trustworthiness.

The AASM Clinical Practice Guideline for the Diagnostic Testing for Adult OSA was rated “Excellent”, the highest possible score, in 9 of 12 categories, and “Good” is the remaining 3 categories.
