UPDATE (Jan. 21, 2021): The AASM is announcing another call for applications for the COVID-19 Relief Fund. State and regional sleep societies can apply by March 7, 2021, to receive up to $10,000. Previous relief fund recipients can apply for additional funding in this round. However, first-time applications will be prioritized.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine is offering relief funding to state and regional sleep societies that have been impacted financially by the COVID-19 pandemic. The relief funding is available to U.S.-based state or regional sleep societies that are 501(c)3, 501(c)4 or 501(c)6 tax-exempt organizations. Each sleep society can apply to receive up to $10,000 from the AASM COVID-19 Relief Fund.
To apply for relief funding, sleep societies must complete the application and attach the required documentation. Applications for the first round of funding are due July 9, 2020. Award notifications will be announced in August. Additional rounds of funding will be announced, and applications will continue to be accepted, while budgeted relief funds are available.
To submit an application, or for additional information, please send an email to states@aasm.org.
