Are you an expert in a sleep subject? Have you had an experience that you could share that would benefit your peers and help advance sleep advocacy?
The American Alliance for Healthy Sleep (AAHS) is soliciting session proposals for two, half-hour educational sessions to be presented online during the first annual AAHS membership meeting Oct. 22, 2019, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Central Time. The sessions will provide an engaging learning experience covering sleep topics of interest for all AAHS members, including patients with sleep disorders, providers, and others interested in healthy sleep. Proposals should be submitted online by Sept. 6, 2019, using the AAHS Session Proposal Form.
Each session should comprise a 20-minute presentation (with PowerPoint slides or other visuals) and a 10-minute question and answer period. Individuals are encouraged to submit a proposal for a 30-minute educational session in the following areas:
Session 1: Patient-focused/Advocacy
This session should focus on a topic specifically addressing a patient-centered issue/area of interest or an advocacy issue that stretches across the spectrum of sleep disorders.
Session 2: Clinical/Research
This session should focus on a clinical or research topic of interest in the area of sleep; the topic should be general enough to appeal to all AAHS members.
These presentations are provided for educational purposes for AAHS members; however, the AAHS is not offering continuing education credit for the sessions. There is no compensation for session presenters.
You can submit questions or comments to the AAHS at inquiries@sleepallies.org.
