U.S. News & World Report recently released its 2017-2018 rankings of the top 20 hospitals in the nation, plus the best hospitals in each state and metro area, and the top hospitals by specialty. The overall top hospitals were:
- Mayo Clinic
- Cleveland Clinic
- Johns Hopkins Hospital
- Massachusetts General Hospital
- UCSF Medical Center
When ranked by 16 specialties, the top hospitals included:
- National Jewish Health for pulmonology
- Mayo Clinic for neurology and neurosurgery
- McLean Hospital for psychiatry
- Johns Hopkins Hospital for ear, nose and throat
