The International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision (ICD-10) Coordination and Maintenance Committee is seeking comments on proposed ICD-10 codes. The committee is a federal interdepartmental committee, which allows the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to share responsibility for the ICD-10 code set. Suggestions for modifications come from both the public and private sectors. The proposals currently being shared for public comment were reviewed during the March committee meeting.

You can review the proposed revisions to the ICD-10 procedure codes. Comments or questions on these proposed revisions should be sent to ICDProcedureCodeRequest@cms.hhs.gov by April 8.

You also can review the proposed revisions to the ICD-10 diagnosis codes. Comments or questions on these proposed revisions should be sent to nchsicd10cm@cdc.gov by May 9.
