The Medicare Learning Network (MLN) recently provided instructions on how providers/suppliers may revalidate through their Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs). The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has established due dates by which provider’s/supplier’s revalidation applications must reach their MACs in order to remain compliant with Medicare’s enrollment requirements.

Applications must be submitted within six months of the due date to avoid reimbursement holds on Medicare payments and possible deactivation of Medicare billing privileges. Providers/suppliers may determine whether they are due for revalidation by taking the following steps:

  1. Check to see if a due date has been posted to the Medicare Revalidation List.
  2. If a due date is posted:
