The Viatom Smart Ring Pulse Oximeter – O2Ring received FDA approval in February 2025. This wearable device measures pulse rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2) levels, and is designed for use in both clinical and home settings.

About the O2Ring

The Viatom Smart Ring Pulse Oximeter – O2Ring is a lightweight, silicone ring device intended for spot checks or continuous data collection in adult patients. It monitors SpO2, heart rate and perfusion index, and is suitable for use in sleep labs, long-term care facilities, hospitals or at home. It is not intended for real-time continuous monitoring.

The device features a built-in vibration alert that activates when SpO2 or heart rate readings cross preset thresholds, gently prompting users to adjust their sleep position without waking them.

The O2Ring uses integrated SpO2 sensors and anti-interference filtering technology to collect medical-grade data using a fluoroscopic optical volume method. Data is transferred in real time to the Vihealth app, which generates high-resolution trend graphs at four-second intervals and provides detailed reports to support clinical decision-making.

Previously marketed as the Wellue O2Ring, the device has since been rebranded under the Viatom name.
