The ABIM Foundation’s “Putting the Charter into Practice” grants provide financial support to professional medical organizations, health systems/hospitals, academic medical centers and medical practices, and other organizations as they work to advance medical professionalism. The foundation has partnered with the Council of Medical Specialty Societies to advance this initiative.
For 2011 this grant program will facilitate the development of innovative, emerging strategies to advance appropriate health care decision-making and stewardship of health care resources, one of the commitments of the “Physician Charter.” The ABIM Foundation will award up to five grants of $20,000 each in 2011. Grant recipients will participate in a learning network through quarterly teleconferences. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2011.
