The American Board of Internal Medicine has extended the deadline for ABIM diplomates to enroll in the board’s Maintenance of Certification program and still receive a favorable reporting status. The original deadline of March 31, 2014 has been extended to April 30, 2014. ABIM diplomates must enroll by April 30 to ensure that their reporting status will remain “meeting MOC requirements.” Those that do not register by April 30 will be reported as “certified” but not as “meeting MOC requirements.” More information about recent changes in ABIM’s MOC program is available on the ABIM website.
