The AASM recently published practice parameters to guide clinicians in the treatment of central sleep apnea. The article title “The Treatment of Central Sleep Apnea Syndromes in Adults: Practice Parameters with an Evidence-Based Literature Review and Meta-Analysis” appeared in the January issue of the journal SLEEP.
The practice parameters are based on a systematic review of the scientific literature that was performed by an expert task force. The article was developed by the AASM Standards of Practice Committee and reviewed and approved by the AASM board of directors.
