If I join the AASM in the middle of the year, will my membership last for the next 12 months?

If our sleep center is a facility member of the AASM, am I also considered an AASM member since I am on staff at the center?
No. Facility and individual memberships are different and require separate applications. Both categories of membership have their own unique benefits.
Why did the AASM raise the price of membership dues for 2023?
In 2023 the AASM is raising the price of individual membership dues for the first time since 2014. The dues increase reflects both the membership benefits that have been added over the past decade and the higher cost of producing goods and services. Despite this increase, AASM membership dues remain among the lowest of any medical society. The AASM continues to enhance and expand our benefits to ensure that membership remains a great value.
Do you accept PO’s as payment for membership?
No. The AASM does not accept PO’s as payment for membership dues. We accept checks and these credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express
How do I obtain a copy of receipt for my membership dues?
A receipt of payment will automatically be sent to the primary email address on your membership account; however, if you need another copy you may contact the AASM Membership Department by phone or email.
Do you have a Membership Cancellation & Refund Policy?
The AASM makes all efforts to ensure satisfaction with membership. Cancellations received within 2 weeks of registration are eligible to receive a full refund with written request. Requests for refunds in membership can be emailed to membership@aasm.org.
What are the AASM lobbying expenses?
The AASM estimates that in 2024, 2% of your dues will represent such nondeductible lobbying expenses. You will need to reduce any claimed deduction for AASM dues by this amount.
What is the automatic renewal program?
