Nominations for individuals to serve on the AASM Board of Directors are currently being accepted. Terms begin in June at SLEEP 2006, 20th Anniversary Meeting of the Associated Professional Sleep Societies.
To be considered, individuals must be a fellow or regular member of the AASM. Also, because the AASM has a conflict of interest policy with which all officers and directors must comply, interested applicants should review the Conflict of Interest Policy and complete the Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form, which are available at www.aasm.org/resources/doc/coi/COI-form.doc. Please consider the time commitment associated with service on the Board of Directors, which includes five face-to-face meetings that require weekend travel.
Interested applicants may nominate themselves for positions. To nominate an individual, please submit the Conflict of Interest Disclosure Form, a curriculum vitae summary, no longer than two pages, and a letter of interest to Becky Nowlin via e-mail at bnowlin@aasm.org or fax to (708) 492-0943 by December 31, 2005 .
