On Nov. 1–2, 2010, the AASM will host a new, interactive course at the national headquarters office in Darien, Illinois, covering billing issues related to evaluation and management (E&M) services performed by sleep medicine physicians. During the Comprehensive Evaluation and Management Coding course, AASM Director of Coding and Compliance Judy Coy, RN, will address critical issues regarding coding, record auditing, documentation and compliance plan development for sleep-related E&M services.
Registration is now open for this course, and will be limited to the first 75 registrants in order to maintain a small-group, interactive setting. Sleep center managers and physicians interested in obtaining an in-depth review of E&M coding should plan to register early for this course while space is available. For more information and to register for the Comprehensive Evaluation and Management Coding course, visit the Sleep Education Series portion of the AASM website. Questions about this course may be directed to the AASM meeting department at education@aasm.org or 630-737-9700.
