Sleep Medicine Disruptors Call for Abstracts
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine is accepting abstract submissions for Sleep Medicine Disruptors 2025, Nov. 14-15 in Austin, Texas. Sleep is essential to health, and disruption and innovation are accelerating the ability of the AASM and its members to advance sleep care and enhance sleep health to improve lives.
Accepted abstracts will be scheduled for poster presentation on Friday, Nov. 14, or Saturday, Nov. 15. A select number of abstract authors will be invited to give an in-person oral presentation during the program, which also will be livestreamed. Accepted abstracts will be published in an online supplement of the Journal of Clinical Sleep Medicine.
Scope
The AASM seeks abstracts that explore disruption and innovation related to sleep health and the practice of sleep medicine. Topics of interest include new solutions, interventions, approaches, and paradigms related to:
- Sleep health monitoring
- Consumer sleep technology
- Sleep disorders screening, diagnosis and treatment
- Artificial intelligence and machine learning
- Health care delivery
- Practice models

Submission Information and Abstract Outline
The abstract submission form with payment information must be submitted electronically, along with the completed abstract, to the AASM Meeting Department at presentations@aasm.org.
The abstract body (comprising introduction, methods, results, conclusion, and support) is limited to 350 words. Brand names may be used. References, tables, figures, or any other graphics are not permitted. Abstracts must conform to the following outline. Abstract sections may not be substituted with different terminology:
- Title
- Authors (no more than 15) and institutions
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusion
- Support (if any)
Edits to abstracts will not be permitted once the abstract has been submitted.
Additional Submission Information
Notice of acceptance will be sent to the contact author by October 6, 2025. Submission of an abstract constitutes the commitment of at least one author to present the abstract as accepted. Expenses associated with the preparation, submission and presentation of an abstract are the responsibility of the author/presenter.
Presenting authors must register for the Sleep Medicine Disruptors 2025 meeting. AASM does not provide financial support for travel or registration.
The AASM will only acknowledge completed submissions containing:
- The abstract as an attached Microsoft Word document;
- The completed abstract submission form; and
- The payment form for the nonrefundable abstract review fee of $50.00 per submission.
The contact author will be sent a confirmation receipt via email within three business days of sending in all completed work; this receipt must be saved in order to maintain proof of submission.
